Step-1: Level of Education and Experience:
Instructional activity in an educational or vocational training institution or research facility. Tourism and culture-related professionals. Highly specialized and qualified technology and innovation practice. Formal education is equivalent to a degree for those with experience in a similar field and formal education.
Step-2: Agreement for Services or Employment:
For teaching professionals: Contract of employment or services agreeable, including the teaching activity, or the letter of Invitation from an educational or vocational training institution or research center.
For highly qualified activity professionals: An employment or service contract of at least one year, where they agree to an annual remuneration of at least 1.5 times the national average. Annual gross salary (1,752.52 euros per month), as well as a management or higher level designation is required.
For culture promoter professionals: Employment or service agreement compatible with cultural activity (within the scope of a project recognized as of concern to the government body in culture promotion). Declaration of the business or organization that conducts the cultural activity within the country.
Tech visa from certified companies: Contract for work or services with the responsibility in the area of technology and innovation that is declared by the certified organization is required for obtaining tech visa.
Step 3: Social security and tax registration:
Portugal’s Social Security number is one of the mandatory identifiers that will be issued for the purpose of making and receiving payments for or receiving benefits from the state’s social security system. It can only be received by a citizen or permanent resident of Portugal and is awarded by the Portuguese government. A Portuguese tax number is required for a wide variety of transactions, including purchasing real estate, opening a bank account, collocating legal contracts, obtaining a loan, starting a new job, and taking advantage of tax benefits.
Step 4: Social contributions and taxes:
Payment of all state and federal taxes and social contributions required for both individuals and their representatives. Your professional activities in Portugal will be subject to taxes and social contributions.
Step 5: Required documents checklist:

Step-6: Schedule an appointment with SEF (Servico De Estrangeiros E Fronteiras):
